Wow, never knew GM did this so far back. The price for the kit must be equivalent to a 59-60 Chevy with a 348 though... But, how many can there really be out there?
The first time i ever saw one on a vintage car, was a 1960 Impala hardtop. This would have been in the late 80's and i was stunned. The car i saw was the the most perfect and the most optioned car i had seen up to that point and it was a 348. This option could be had on engines other than a 348 though. The asking prices of over three grand on those for sale ..... well good luck with that. Nice option to have but that is a **** load of coin.

Its a nice looking one, I saw one on a 64 impala, a Vernon smith car, it had every option in the book, literally. The oldest I remember was in the 70s on olds and Buick, Pontiac, caprice. Maybe late 60s? I have crs.

The trailer queen guys are likely the target. I have a friend with a 57 Star Chief, 15 years ago he paid about $6,000 for a set of very rare factory spoked wheel covers, including restoration. A restored FI unit for a 63 ish vette sells for $15-30,000, a set of rear window stainless for the split window coupe was $3-4,000 back 10 years ago. These may be reasonable, who knows?

I guess it is whatever the market will bear. The seller is from Hanover Ontario and his feedback is excellent. I admire people like him that has the foresight to collect and restore unique options for collector cars. He is doing really well with the exchange on the US $ . I try and bring one suitcase full of nos parts to Florida every year and Ebay sell there to take advantage of the currency exchange. I have been told by some purchasers that they would not buy from Canada because of fear of losing the item in shipping and our high Canadian shipping cost.
