Christmas already?

I was at the local Lowes yesterday and they have all their Christmas stuff out. Too soon?

Might be relevant in southern Alberta. Snow puts me in the mood and gets Christmas tunes going.

It's too soon to think about Christmas (and winter)! I really like autumn, especially here in PEI. It (usually) lasts quite a while and the air is crisp with no mosquitoes lol. Nothing like coming in on a cool crisp day, having the fire going and having a bowl of my wife's hearty homemade soup and biscuits. We often have a green Christmas here (except for last year I seem to recall).

Way too soon IMHO.  Kinda takes the 'special-ness' out of it, when the lead-up starts like 3 months beforehand.

It's all about the shopping revenues, though, let's make that clear.  I'm sure the stores would have 12 months of Christmas shopping if they thought that people would buy into it.

For me, Dec. 1 would be the ideal time for Christmas stuff to be in stores - then it's actually starting to 'feel' like Christmas.  Like Todd said, on the east coast our autumns are beautiful and to be enjoyed on their own.  Don't need to start planning for Christmas yet!
