1973 Lemans/GTO/Grand Am front side marker lights

Hi All, I'm looking for a set of good condition, preferably not cracked or damaged, 1973 Lemans/GTO front fender side marker lights. The plastic backing on both of mine are destroyed. Any and all help appreciated. If you have a set then please let me know! Thanks!

Sorry, year in subject line now corrected from 1983(?!?!) to the correct, 1973. Ugh.

Again, any help with these is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Sorry, I just ignored the thread when it said 1983.

If you didn't know before you likely know now that parts for the 1973 one year only body style LeMans are almost impossible to locate. In this case you are a bit luckier since the part you are looking for is the same on 74 and 75 cars.

What I have done in the past is patch up the parts as best I can so they are serviceable and then use all my resources to search out what I need. I did this with parking lamps and was fortunate to get a good OEM used set from someone who had found NOS.

There are three other guys on board here that could possibly help and lets hope they see your plea.

You might also contact the Technical Advisor for the 1973 LeMans at the Pontiac Oakland Club International.

Thanks Ray, great advice and appreciated. Yes, like you I'm well aware of the challenge of finding parts for the 73, having owned my current GA for 20 years, preceded by another 73 I had for four years. I have certainly considered patching up the ones I have as the yellow lenses themselves are in perfect condition and it is just the backs that hold those lenses that have crumbled. I'll continue watching ebay, etc., but if the three other members on the board here have any leads then I hope they see this. Your last advice on the Tech Advisor at POCI is excellent, and not something I would have thought of! Thanks kindly for all of your input.

If faded there is a good paint out there from ?? VHT to recolour a set . If I remember the spray can was close to 100 delivered here . Red is at your local CTC .
I do have a box of marker lights and I am parting my car . Let me look this weekend .

In Langley, BC we have an old auto wrecker, Eric, at Classic Auto Wreckers, 778-892-2650, I know he has a Lemans/GTO of that vintage mostly still complete, (I got some motor brackets off the 400 and remote mirrors), I think it was a 73 but you can give him a call if that helps.
