I took in the annual event held at the historic site of Ruthven Park with my 57 Pontiac. The historic site was the home of the wealthy Thompson family that built the mansion in the 1840's and resided there until the 1970's when the family donated it to the area and it was made a historic site. There is a guided tour of the mansion usually but not this time around. There is a family burial plot in the back and it was interesting and kind of spooky at the same time. This site is a beautiful place to have a car show and i have gone for many years. The weather was brisk but sunny and i for one enjoyed everything this event had to offer. The area there near the grand river is beautiful to behold in its nature and history. Check out the rides. I will take the 1956 Chev Bel Air sport sedan. Cheers.
