Soundtrack sounds really good too.

Like all movies I am told it is really about the friendship that develops between Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles. I think with that sentiment backdropped against a life and death situation anyone should be able to enjoy this story. Of course we all know Ken Miles dies shortly after that historic 1-2-3 win at LeMans testing the J car in Riverside CA.

Yeah this should be interesting. Im sure one of the people that consulted for the movie would have been Allen Grant. He drove for Shelby in 65 at all the big races including LeMans and won the title. Dont know if you remember I shared some of his pictures earlier this year. His shop is 5 minutes from my place in Palm Springs. Planning to stop in and see him again this winter as he offered me a job to build some houses in his subdivision. Guess that wont work but what a great guy to chat with. He figures he may well be the guy that knew Carrol Shelby the best as they had a lot of time together. He started as a welder for him and then moved up to become a driver. And good on him for keeping much of that memorabilia including a couple cars.

Jerel, you've got a tremendous assets there in Allen Grant, I'm sure if the production people did any homework they would have spoken to Allen, he has to be one of the only people alive from that era of Cobras and GT40 development and personal relationships with Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles. I remember very well the post you made back in the winter.

I don't really keep up on movies but somehow this one sounds like it could be interesting. The problem is, how does a guy know how factual it is?

This thread started my down a deer path yesterday;
After watching the trailer, I let Shelby documentaries play (to listen to, not really watch) on my third monitor screen at work...

I hope to see this one in theatre;
And i often do NOT go to the theatre.
