Looking for copper wool

Just wondering if anyone would have some or know where I could purchase some copper wool. A friend of mine gave me some a few years ago and Ive pretty much used it up. Works so good on chrome as it takes anything off but doesnt scratch the chrome at all. My friend was an electrician and had access to this from years ago but Ive heard it is tough to find now.

Jerel, have you tried eBay or Amazon? Both have listings for copper wool. Good Luck

It might be my imagination but I thought I had seen some in a dollar store not that long ago.

If you cant find it.   Just use 0000 steel wool,  it does not scratch.  i have used it forever,  just be sure it is 0000.

Do most places handle 0000 steel wool Dave? I didn't realize I could buy different "grits" of it.

I recently purchased some off Amazon, fine grade. Listed as bronze wool by Rhodes American. It works great on chrome like you said.

OOOO steel wool - https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/steel-wool-super-fine-grade-0000/6000093378305

For copper (bronze) wool check with your local marine supplier.

It's used for boat hull cleaning.

I bet copper wool would make for a really scratchy sweater! smile

I get 0000 at can tire.   I found some bulldog "superfine" one time at home depot,  for sure DO NOT use "superfine".  It MUST say 0000 for it to not scratch chrome.
