Honestly, I hope somebody has a rusty one and they rebody it with this car. That's better than the thought of this car being junked. As much as the idea of tag swapping sucks, crushing this would suck more.
And yes, they think they are being "green" making old cars irrepairable. What ends up happening is theypull from the economy money that would have been spent restoring this car. That money would have generated tax revenue, help businesses out etc.... But there's one less old "polluter" on the road.
And this post is NOT political, it's me venting about old cars being destroyed needlessly!

And a convertible to boot!!! From my brief view of the pics it looks like it was pretty nice car before the fire, I agree with Carl that as long as no one is trying to pass off as a Ram Air car etc. it would make a great swap to a rusty one.
