We didn't get judged,got a celebrity pick award from Jim at Berger Chevrolet.The car just got finished a week before the show.Was a great time!

Can you provide some info on your car?  I'm intrigued by the side stripes - don't recall seeing any exactly like that.  Also, is the roof painted or vinyl?  Looks painted in the pic.

Again, WOW!

Does it have a 3.55 12-bolt, or 3.07 because of a/c? A 455 doesn't care if it has tall (low numerical) gearing or even if you forget to switch off the a/c during a quarter mile run.

And, thank you for not putting a Judge spoiler on it. Way overdone IMHO.

 

I think it may have been the October '71 Hot Rod magazine that featured the new GM musclecars. For the Pontiac Best Buy they spec'd a LeMans 2-door "post", went with an insurable 400 4-barrel rather than an "assigned risk" 455, a TH400, 3.55 rear gearing, plus a new handling package with front & rear stabilizers, stiff springs & shocks, plus 15x7 Honeycombs & G60-15 Polyglas tires. It had the GTO exhaust & the side splitters.
