We took a little detour as we passed Vegas a couple days ago and were pleasantly surprised. I would pass on the recommendation that our friend gave us if you are in Nevada. Less than an hour north of Vegas with some brilliant colours. Parts of it reminded me of when we were in Petra where Raiders of the Lost Ark was filmed. A few pictures of natures beauty.
It's an amazing place isn't it. Anytime we go to Vegas, we always rent a car and do a circle tour up interstate 15 to see it, then back down along 167. Amazing drive.

My wife and I always take a drive through the park so she can take some pictures. If you want a good meal drive west of Vegas- down Sahara or Charleston I think- to a place called Old Nevada in Red Rock Canyon area and have a Bison burger -medium well recommended- with some good American sarsaparilla root beer. Awesome meal. The men's urinal is a claw bath tub.
