I don't think that jack is for a 65 Pontiac, may be wrong. But, there is nowhere to hook the hook part onto it, if they used the removable hook in 65. I don't remember. That jack wouldn't reach under the bumper enough. If they had the removable hook, it would look more like this one.....

That said, an original bumper jack is nice to have, but I wouldn't use one. Very hard on bumpers and brackets etc.

That is not the jack for a '66. The '66 has a rectanglar cut out in the bumper and the jack has a little hook that inserts into the cut out. I suppose that it may work. As I remember we had one like that on the '64 Laurentian.

They were used differently on front and rear bumpers. That i think is an attachment for the rear bumper and you remove it for the front bumber.

Here's the jacking instructions from the owners manual.

And some pics of the assembly from my 65 CS

Unlike the jack which came with my Beaumont the hook ( saddle ) is not stamped with any indication of what it fits. I couldn't find any stamping on any part of this assembly. Seem to remember that the hook for the Beaumont is stamped " 64 Chevelle " on the face of the hook.
