At least the price was very fair, You would get more attention to the ad with the first picture than the second picture. As far as "amazing what people think are good" I bet many parts on this western car are very nice than most of the rusty Ontario parts cars.
What is a good frame worth down in the rust belt if you can find one?
Lots of parts were listed for $650.00, I have seen grilles go for $300.00 alone, Complete disc brake set-up. Big block rad support,Turbo 400 trans with tag. Front bumper looked good, 1971 Montes are a one year signal light that are not reproduced, alone these can bring $200.00 for the pair. Lots more for not much money.

******* IMPORTANT NOTE ******* *****The cowl tag and the vin will NOT come with the car body to avoid making a fake SS 454 car. And the tags are NOT for sale.******

Excellent. Good on the seller to recognize the potential for wrongdoing. Maybe they read this forum... seems timely, that's all.

Makes me wonder if he bought the car for the tags to put on his Monte.....and recouping the money in parts.
The seller is a guy I dont know personally but I've talked with him well over a half dozen times and is honest as the day is long.Just spoke to him last week about an item he had for sale and he was nothing but truthful and his price reflected the item he was selling. He purchased this Monte and stripped it down and was offering some hard to find parts at what looked to me to be some fair prices.Hes an ambitious guy who loves this car hobby and just happens to be a member of CP.No hidden agenda here and the last thing hed ever be doing is selling tags.
It's great to see sellers with integrity out there. One tends to become jaded when you hear of so many cases of misrepresentation in the old car hobby, you tend to forget that most people in the hobby are good, honest people who are in it for the love of the cars, and not the money.
