First Saturday of the month has a nice car show here in the desert. Had a very interesting conversation with an awesome gent in his early 80s. Bob or Red as he was known in his younger days is referred to twice in the movie as he was racing a Corvette at the time. His daughter saw the movie before he did and then phoned him to tell him about the reference. Said it was quite a pleasant surprise. He also showed me some pictures of him finishing a race ahead of Allen Grant the fellow who gave us a tour through his shop last year. It is so interesting to hear these stories of the racing in the 60s. These guys had balls of steel and some very skilled wrenchers. Will show a picture of him and the Cobra he has on the street now plus a few other cars at the show.
