Headliner install. What staple gun and staples do I need?

Anyone here tackle a headliner diy? I'm going to do it with the help of my wife this year.

Question for those in the know: What kind of air powered staple gun and staples will I need to secure the headliner to the tacking strips?

I think I'm lucky with the 65 post, as the liner will only need glue at the rear window. Tacking and toothed strips are everywhere else.

I'm attempting to ask some questions over on 2doorpost, but I can hear wind whistling and see tumbleweeds blowing by..

Great videos mate. Just a question, are you stapling straight into steel? Or what is it your actually stapling too? Also do you use stainless steel staples when doing this? Cheers

Thank You! No not stapling in to steel. On older cars like this chevy there are channels build in to the body that hold "Tack Strips" its like a hard rubber that will hold staples.

I typically always use stainless staples. Although Its not a requirement on headliners. Stainless is more expensive but much higher quality and will never rust. Defiantly a must on convertible tops and boats.
