Wow.

He was the most active one of the group, even though he was suffering from bad arthritis. He rode to a lot of shows (years ago) via motorcycle while Geddy and Alex flew or rode in the custom tour bus.

Sad.

Not another one :( so sad ... I listened to 70s early 80s Rush everyday until Moving Picture in my Teen high school days ...RIP Neil.

Up until this I considered him the be among the world's best living drummers. Now his legacy will be among others like Bonham, Moon, Buddy Rich.T

I bought their first album (self titled) in 1974 when Neil was not in the band yet. Neil joined the following year with the second album and he made his mark right from the get go. Always one of the best percussionists in rock of all time. You will always see him on the various lists of the best rock drummers of all time. He was also the most interesting of the three to listen to in interviews. Sad day for music but a Canadian musician that will be remembered by many world wide.
