A low mileage creampuff of an Acadian

This is in Lethbridge and according to the listing, has 29,000 miles.

A greater starter project or for the guy who wants to slow down.

Nice shape, but not original seat material.

Yeah it looked odd to me too, but otherwise a really nice car to putt around with.  If that's original mileage you wouldn't need to do much at all.

A very well cared for gem.

Maybe someone could buy this and we could show us what the real interior choices were.

Nice looking car.  Were the inner fenders painted black from the factory?

As far as I've ever seen that is how they came, yes.

Thanks Carl.  I have no experience with these cars.  It appears that they must bolt on.  I was thinking, as unitized bodies, the inner fenders were welded in place.

Yes, you can unbolt everything and have nothing forward of the firewall. Structural integrity is not really a term for these cars. But they sure make great drag cars, nice and light!

Further research yielded this pic:

This car was built when the Chevy II was new or almost new (with Corvette parts for road racing), and shows the black inner fenders.  I had no idea it all just bolted on like that - I imagine you're right in that they weren't the stiffest chassis out there.  I recall from my stock car days that a few guys tried to run these cars in the strictly stock class - but they didn't handle worth a darn - the later Novas ('75-up) pretty much dominated the class.

Anyhow, here's a link to the article that the above pic is from - quite a build-up for the time, but it was abandoned before it saw any real competition because the builder was busy developing the Cheetah..
