A friend of the body shop I am using has dropped off something he thought I may be interested in.

Wrong year for me.

Still cool to look at.

This is all I could find on the net.

"Trimex cars that were made in Mexico in the 1950s and 60s. They used Fiberglass bodies that were much more detailed than American pedal cars and had functional lights.

These are often advertised as dealership items but were not."

Funny, that's exactly what I was told confuse

Todd, this would be a great project for you.

I see it needs a steering wheel, headlights, tail lights, and (maybe) a windshield. The "bones" are there!

Waaaay back in 1988 I found a Ferrari Formula 1 peddle car in someone's garbage.

No steering wheel and a broken axle housing.cry My son (4) loved it.biggrin

Fixed the housing, made a steering wheel and he drove it all over our long 80' driveway and back patio,

even parking it just 'so' in a corner.

After a couple months I noticed the inside of the front plastic wheels were wearing.

Up on the bench, re-drill the tie rods to improve toe in. Now I can say I've done an alignment on

a Ferrari......albeit a plastic one.biggrin That peddle car was handed down to family after family for several years.smile

One day while I was fixing a car in the driveway he lifted his Ferrari on to a floor jack and crawled under with a wrench.

Must have been an influence as his career consists mostly of being a service adviser/manager at numerous dealerships.

Nice to be able to call him up when a problem surfaces with a new car. Will look for some pics.
