Looking to borrow a Muncie case and tailhousing.

Guys,

Strange request for sure, but does anyone in the GTA have a bare muncie case and passenger car tailhousing? Can even be scrap quality.

I'm looking to borrow it to mock up my floorpan shifter hump.

The plan is to set the trans and bellhousing in place with the shifter to build up a floor hump, accurately setting the boot and ring in exactly the right place. Or at least the right height/angle.

I'm too old and lazy to lift and fuss my built up unit in and out from under the car!

Thanks, Mark

Shoot, I have the one here I've used for a number of mock ups. If you can't find one and want to pay the freight I can sure help you out Mark.

Mark, I just looked and I have a junk case with a broken ear that you can have. You would just need to find a tail housing or else I could send you my mockup tailhousing and you could mail just that back to me when you're done with it.

Or I could come for coffee and pick it up in person some time!

Just reading this now Mark. Pretty sure I have one here. I made up one years ago and could not figure out why the cross member bolt holes would not line up. It helps when you put the spacer plate between the case and tailstock doh

I could probably just use some kind of DIY spacers if need be. No rush though.

Thanks, Kevin.

I think I have a plate if you can't find it.

In thinking, all I will really need is the tailhousing after all Kevin.

I have a urethane mount. So it will bolt up pretty solid to the crossmember on it's own.
