I am about half way through a restoration on a 1966 Pontiac Parisienne Custom Sport convertible. Looking to purchase a dash plaque that mounts over the glove box door, that has script that says, "Parisienne". This plaque is made of Lucite, a hard black plastic. Willing to buy the plaque in good condition, or the entire plastic dash piece, less the instruments of course. The picture here shows the broken one that I have. Thanks to anyone who might be able to help me source this part. Jim Oke.
If it not much trouble for you to have a look to see if you might have this dash piece, that would be hugely appreciated ! I have looked high and low for one of these dash plaques, with no success at all. Your help would be very appreciated when convenient for you. Best Regards, Jim.
Ok! Tomorrow, I'll trudge though the snow and beat my way into the cars to see if I have a good one. At least with the snow on the cars it keeps the light from fading them eh?

Put some Deepwoods OFF on.

Ken : Thanks for your reply to this request. I really don't need this part for a while yet anyway, so no rush on this at all. I don't want you having to pole vault over the snow banks to get to your spare cars. You can even just check on this later this Spring and let me know Ken.
Thanks so much for the photos ! The dash plaque on the blue car looks absolutely perfect for what I need. Perhaps we should just wait until we lose a lot of snow before we actually proceed with this part. I am not exactly sure what work is involved in removing this part, but I will likely remove mine in a few weeks, so will have a better idea then. My Wife and I are about to embark on a Southern U.S. trip, and will likely be back about the end of March. I will contact you then Ken and we can finalize the details. It is way to cold to work outside now anyway, and I am in no particular rush for this. Just very glad to have connected with you as a source for this item.
Thanks so much in advance for your help with this !
I have a Sister who lives in Beaumont, Alberta, and next Summer we are thinking of making a trip out as her health is failing. Is Beaumont anywhere near where you live ? Just wondering....
Hi Jim, These are actually really easy to get off if you can get access to the back of the dash. I have a 66 dash in my garage as a wall mount so it's easy to check. However its probably just as well to leave the blue on in place until its warmer.
As for Beaumont its about three hours away but I'd be quite happy to deliver it to there using my 66 Beaumont (yeah!) if I make a trip to Edmonton, which is nearby.
