1971 ACADIAN Lets build it

Not sure how  long it going to take  but I'll post  pictures  as I go  .not going to be a show car  but I am going to try and make it  nice.

I have  quarters and fenders  for it.it has been a while since I have done any serious bodywork. I may have to call on my bodyman friend for life

To come to teach me what I forgot or never knew.. I  have a 454 for it  9 inch,  big block springs and motor  mounts. Think I have a turbo 400.out there somewhere  .ordered upholstery for the buckets and rear seat do t have carpet yet .need brown dashpad..ive been collecting lots of parts

Have 4 parts cars to harvest from.  Today I ripped apart  alot . And its only 5:00.20200127_114010.jpg20200127_101505.jpg20200128_131224.jpg

Definitely need to replace that dealer sticker, take measurements and pics to get it redone. Very solid looking Acadian, lots of jealous people, including me. 4 speed I hope?

Pulled the rotisserie in  from the cold.  Started building it a couple of years ago .

Need to finish welding. I think  I could put a locomotive on it..20200201_180754.jpg20200201_181714.jpg

I like your tilt mechanism. If you put power to it, will it run?

Well well  Mark got distracted.  .had other cars to fix for a  bit   friends daughter car.  My old truck .

Bought another Hyundai from salvage  to fix for my daughter.

Did some welding on the rotisserie .It was only tacked together . Bought a set of floor pans. I'll

Only use the top piece. Cheaper to buy the whole pan. Need to pickup the back window piece. Found some pics on the interweb

Of a nova with raised rear wheelwells.  Seriously considering doing this  on the acadian.

Also shopping for a new truck and actually parted with some cash. 2016 Duramax. Now I can get rid of my old junk.20200217_083529.jpg20200215_160359.jpg                                                                               the wheelwells are a bit high .I'll have pic of another one  next week  hopefully  of one not so high.

What do you guys think.  I want it to look like generous motors  would have done it.  I also have some interesting plans for the hood that GM should have done

Mark

It's been a long while. Been busy.

Got the car on the rotisserie. Collected a few parts

Can't seem to find some patch panels  I'm sure I have.

Spending alot of time sorting thru  25 yrs of collecting stuff ( some may call it hoarding ). Waiting for some warm 20200318_211455.jpg20200318_220759.jpg20200318_223348.jpg20200321_082958.jpgweather to  get the sandblasting  going.

Posting from my phone is a pain

Its been a while. i have not perished from the virus. been very busy doing yard cleanup   and reorganizing .

i striped down 3  4dr parts  cars  harvesting parts for the acadian. finally found my patch panels.  I dont get much time for this project ,between house building and

getting my shop setup and fixing everybody elses cars. but i am having fun. now with the warmer weather i can setup to sandblast .

the ventura i bought from Cheviac before i had any good ones.If anyone needs any ventura parts  I will sell them.( site Auction donation) the brown 74 has excellent floors

i think ill save it for future. I am learning how to post on the computer from my phone pictures but i dont know how the make the pics a smaller size
