Looking for a couple of 65 dash lamp sockets.

Looking for two 65 dash lamp sockets, to light a new vac gauge that will go into the empty trio pod. It apparently uses two lamps.

I'm assuming that 66 socket might fit, or even other years or types?

Thanks, Mark

I will try to look tonight. I know I did have some spares but I haven't seen them in a while, maybe used them or sold them.

I figured there would have been a couple there from the clock. Or was this a clock delete car?

Clock delete Clint.

I wonder if some kind of generic "fix it display" lamp socket could be used?

by looking at your photo, the bulb sockets are the same as the ones in my 70 clock. I'll see what I can find.

Measure them or the hole they plug into, may be lots of years fit and it would be good to know for future reference. Ive got some from a 63 vette split window, likely worth $100 each for the vette ) ?

They look like those from a 59 so may be something not changed for years. Mine are all in storage until I get my new garage ready.

FYI. The light sockets for the vac gauge are plastic and have a slightly dimmer bulb.

Good to know Steve. I wonder if the bulb difference is actually listed in the manual?

LED's might be an alternative, as long as they are dimmable. I could try mocking some up some just for fun. They are available cheaply on amazon.

And I will have a look see about other years of plugs fitting. I think I have a 69 dash harness, and some random plugs in some little drawer.

Mark,

I should have couple you can have but I head south on Monday. If you can get to Kitchener this weekend I will take a look. I think you need the harness with the socket and plastic male/female plug that was used for options in the dash like your clock or vacuum gauge.

Bill.

Ok Mark. I have the factory double lamp socket used with the clock option.

Bill.
