A fellow named Monte owns that truck. He also had a bunch of old MGA's, a Lotus and a replica Chinese Junk boat he's been trying to sell. He drives that truck all year. I see it quite often. Looks decent but I think 6k is all the money.

Neat truck.  Would be fun to use for jobs around the home as it's just rough enough that you wouldn't worry so much about a little cosmetic damage.  I'd be concerned about him winter driving it, as Todd has posted pics here about the salt on PEI roads, which seems worse than most.

All in all, looks like a solid truck, and as Don mentioned it's been for sale for quite awhile indicating that it may be priced a little high.  I don't want to discuss price much as it seems to be a bit of a sore point, so I'll leave it at that.

It looks to have a 240 cube Black Diamond six in it. They also made big 264 inline sixes for the light duty trucks.

Internationals are tough trucks but they are not beyond rusting. Save that sucker!

Pictured below is vintage pic of a new on road / off road test truck, a final-year 1975 200-series 4x4 (formerly known as 1210) that is all business. As an unladen 3/4-ton 4x4 you'd need a kidney belt to ride in it. This one has the top 392 power.

Years ago I owned a 1971 1210 pickup with a 392 and a five speed manual. Fifth was overdrive. It was actually my second International. Previously I owned one with a 232 AMC six and a four speed manual. The one with the six was better on gas but pretty gutless when loaded and not much top end on the highway.

Most internationals had a suspension by Massey Ferguson as I recall, rode like a tractor, especially the 4wd. I always liked the look of them, a real truck.

Nice truck, but I'd rather one from the mid '60s.

Among my other weaknesses are old 4x4's and particularly old Forest Service pickups.  Right now I have three. The one that needs the most work is a 1959 3/4 ton shortbox slabside 4x4.   This is a genuine Alberta Forest Service truck as it still has the big yellow letters AFS on the top of the cab.  (They used that to signal to any aircraft overhead that there was Forestry on scene.) I have a lot of work to do to put this one back together.

I couple of years ago I picked up a restored AFS truck and this one is quite nice.  They used it for Initial attack crews back in the early seventies. Its a 1969 3/4 ton stepside crewcab 4x4. GVW of 10000 lbs!  I call it big Harvey.

And two year ago a snagged a 1 of 33 canadian built 1967 GMC 4x4 short wheel base stepside. Needs rust repair etc. It was originally a BC unit I believe.

Any way this truck kind of tempts me too just for the sheer adventure of trying to drive to Alberta from the maritimes. That would be a saga.

Here's big Harvey.

Oh, so that's the guy. I saw this article while at the optician office.

I like your truck Harvey Ken!

I suppose with those heavy suspensions you could feel a dime laying flat in the road
