Right now we have a crazy kitten that does not seem like a domestic cat. His eyes are glowing copper, his spots are like something you'd see on a cheetah or Bobcat. When I walk by he treats me like a buffalo he wants to bring down & eat. Wifey says she thinks he's an Egyptian Mau.
So last week our kitten successfully ripped every inch of calking out of our downstairs shower. Next day we caught him swinging wildly from a crystal chandelier in the hall (next he swung from the one in the dining room). We spent 2.5 hours dismantling the chandeliers so he would not find it attractive and the crystal won't be there to shatter. Next day the kitten jumps onto the fridge in the basement beside my desk and starts raining all manner of stuff down onto me. Just yesterday I came in the front door and had my kitten land beside with a thud from a height. I looked up to see the chandelier swinging, so the cat jumped off it but didn't compensate & ended up falling 10' onto the boots. No problem, all in fun. For him.
All cats have different personalities. My wife & my first cat together was a domestic short-hair named Petie.
He was a princess. He would actually pert in different tones like he was singing. When he passed due to old age we found another, a bomb-proof mackerel tabby named Oliver.
Oliver thought he was a dog as he understood commands like "go wake up big sister" & "out". Poor Oliver dies at 11 due to cancer so we replaced him with a unique kitten, Rudy, that looked like the Chinese "good luck" cat.
Rudy was a "Hemmingway" cat in that he had a bunch of extra claws (a poly-dactyl). He had 2 extra claws on each of his front paws, plus an extra out back. Very cute & smart, he only lived a little over a year because somebody messed up & his stupid rabies shot put him into immediate agony for a year. We ended up having to put him on steroids since his body was fighting the vaccination. The steroids have side effects & we ended up losing him this past summer. In the past 2 years or so we have spent enough on our cats to have bought a nice car.
We have thing for Tuxedo cats are our place. Poncho is still kicking at age 11. He acts more like a dog than a cat, following me around when I get home from work waiting for me to play with him. The rest of his day is usually spent lounging by the fire..
Our other Tuxedo is Keiko a.k.a "Fatty Patty". She's a big girl and a good hunter and lives for food. If she was human she'd be in curlers, wearing a mumu with a smoke hanging out of her mouth...

My daughters gray tabbi was a real food hound, when it was time for supper, hed open the cupboard door, climb up on a shelf, and take down his can of food. They came home one day, he had opened the fridge and had a big pack of chicken legs out on the floor eating them. They had to put a childproof lock on the fridge.
