'67 SD Beaumont for sale on Kijiji

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/quesnel/1967-beaumont-sd-for-sale/1490518956?undefined

Good Morning, been away from the site for a few years and just logged back in. I am looking for an older 2 door bucket seat car around this price range and saw this ad on Kijiji. -I know there's a bunch of knowledgeable people on this site and was hoping for some opinions of the condition, authenticity, etc based on the pictures.

Thanks in advance!

Hi George

Well those photos do show the car very well, It would be interesting to find out from the seller if he has the GM of Canada Vintage Records for the car.  The photo shows on the air breather 396 / 350 hp, but the write up states 396 / 325 hp.,  It might just be a typo, just saying . It would be interesting to see a photo of the rear tail trim pieces thought, they would be unique to the SD model.  Nice looking car,

Dale

Not sure if you are set on only a 67 or not. I met a fellow from Vancouver Island last week that will be selling his 66. Pictures have it looking very nice but I havent personally seen it. Red with black guts and a black vinyl top. 427 with a 700r for nice cruising, all new wiring and a close ratio power steering box. Front discs for sure, cant remember if rears are or not.  From talking to him it sounds like he has done everything right with the car. Just has some different 427 emblems on it. It would be in the 32g. range. I can send you some pictures if interested.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated. I found a thread that describes the different motor options & intake/carb possibilities.

Any ideas on why the green (#12?) wire is mounted to the intake? would it be anything to do with the gauge pack mounted under the dash?

Right at the front of the intake? That should be the original temperature light switch wire if so.

The fellow I bought my car from was looking for a 67 so I sent this link to him late last night, so if you're seriously interested I would suggest you contact the owner.    Not a sales tactic or anything as I have no knowledge of the car or owner, I just know the fellow I bought my car from is the real deal with a garage to die for and buys/sells lots of cars and parts so I would hate for you to lose it if it's the car you're looking for.    Just a friendly note from someone that has missed out on way too many 'perfect' cars by procrastinating. lol wink

Thanks again, it looks like a nice car- nicer with the rally wheels in my opinion.

I think there will be a lot of cars coming up for sale in the next month- hoping to find a 65-72 Pontiac/GM 2 door bucket seat car (grey, silver, black, even blue just not red or yellow) It doesn't have to be 'rare' or #'s match, ideally a fresh resto or one with very little miles since & big block power.  I'm not a mechanic, I don't have time or the knowledge to build one but can certainly maintain one.

There is one car that caught my eye in an upcoming auction so I looked into the bidding contract:

8% commission +

5% GST +

AND this SPECIAL NOTE: As a buyer of a vehicle at this auction, I explicitly waive my rights to any implied warranty as set forth by law. As collector vehicles, these automobiles may not be fit for ordinary driving and may not be reasonably safe and free of defects. This includes but is not limited to tires, brakes, steering, motor mounts, front and/or rear drive units.

So on a 45k car you pay $3600 commission then GST of $2430 = $ 51,030 for a car you never drove or rode in. If you're lucky you heard it running and got to talk with the seller. Needless to say, an auction purchase is not in my future.

The '67 is a nice looking car. It would be nice to see in person. It says unrestored, but it's definitely been restored pretty much all around, but that's not a bad thing. Firewall looks painted black. If it's original steel and clean underneath, then imo, the price isn't too far off. Turnkey!
