Bodyshop in Lethbridge

My trip to Lethbridge took me to this shop in Coaldale, and I met this young bodyman. He works alone, and works almost exclusively on older vehicles. he's very talented, and seems to do things properly. the cars I went to stripe were from Edmonton, and he's done some restorations for people from Calgary as well. If anyone's interested, I can forward his contact info.

Here's an Acadian he's done and painted, in Tahitian Turquoise.

I have a feeling that might belong to a CP member who is not on here a lot. Do you happen to know John, by chance is the owner's first name Mike?

I've been in contact from time to time with a guy there who has a 65 SD. This car has the holes for the SD trim on it so I assume it's an SD. I love that it's got the body colour firewall, not the typical restoring mistake, black firewall.

It is an SD and it's a 283 powerglide car. That's about all I know on that!

That is my car Carl. Good catch! I was quite shocked to stumble across this post and see my car especially not posted by me. For the record it was "done" but he took it back as the clear wasn't acceptable. The vin tag needs work too doesn't it Carl?

PM me if you want info on the body man. I really shouldn't share any info without asking him first.

Hey Mike, good to see you in here. The odds were pretty high it was your car!

How soon will the car be done? I can't figure out what you mean by the VIN tag confuse

A good body man, who cares about our cars is a tough find.

Fortunately for me, my guy is a former 60's poncho owner who misses his car.

My body man texted be today.

My car is in colour, He said it's looks awesome but I cant see it.

(Virus)

I'm only to come when it is all done.

They partially blocked the tag with some sort of cover when they painted the firewall. I'll look for a picture.

This was mine. I did it very close to the way it was from the factory when I repainted my firewall.

I really had hoped to make a trip there this year to see my bro-in-law/sis-in-law. We just saw them in Arizona a couple of weeks ago but it was very brief and we have a lot of catching up to do. I'll sure keep you posted but i the meantime there's a number of 65 Canso guys here who can likely help with your questions when needed.

The car is looking good!

I had one of those 274 a few years ago. I knew it would be a long time before I could get at it so I moved it along. I wonder if Shaun got her finished. I know he was off to a great start on it.
