Vintage Memorabilia Central. South works Antiques. Cambridge, Ontario. February 27, 2020.

I took in the overwhelming experience that is South works Antiques on February 27, 2020. The facility is on 73 Water Street in Cambridge, Ontario (519) 471-2835 and is open seven days a week and is free to get in. It is over 30,000 square feet of countless and i do mean countless memorabilia of every kind imaginable. The vendors have their items on display but there are no vendors present on any given day. If interested in an item, you go to the front desk and take it from there. I spent just over three hours going through most of the collections that were there. Of course the items that caught most of my attention was machine related but there was lots of other stuff that was enjoyable to check out. I took over 200 photos but i narrowed it down to these here. I recommend to anyone that loves artifacts of the past to check out this spectacle and there is something there for everyone, not just car guys. Hint to anyone interested in going, do not bring someone that is not like minded. You need some time to soak it all in and you do not need someone dragging you down. Check it out. Cheers.

I love places like this! There were places similar in Stratford, Woodstock and London. Not sure if they are still around. Thanks for the photos! There's lots of good stuff there!

Great shots again George!

Thanks for ALL the pictures George. Right up my alley! The prices are a little high (par for the course in antique malls).

Betcha Todd is drooling!

Dave, my lady and i are in tune with the whole St. Jacobs scene because we have been there many times. I remember the old location for South Works in Cambridge and it was a far better location but (progress) must muster on. Progress being more and more and more condo's. I never go to any of these places on the weekend, only during the week when i can do my own thing in peace. Thank you for the input and cheers.

I remember poking around the St. Jacobs flea market & picking up a few old Popular Mechanics magazines from the 1960s. There were also some die-cast models and I don't know what else, we had a horse & buggy to catch. I know the Farmer's Market burned to the ground a few years ago but they have rebuilt.
