The pessimist in me says that we will pay through the nose no matter what. High price or low price barrel, we will always pay more than we should in this country. It is called old fashion greed and they know they have us all over a barrel, pardon the pun. no

Thats true, the first time gas was $1.50 a litre, oil was $150 a barrel. The
Last time it was $1.50 a litre, it was about $60 a barrel.

 I think you hit it right on the head Don,

Same people, same companies, making sure the number of new refineries is kept low, so the supply and demand of gasoline

is such that gas prices keep climbing even though the price of a barrel of oil is reduced.

We here in Canada, rely on American refineries for most of our gasoline and we pay whatever they tell us the price is.

Add to that the increase in taxes and we have gasoline just climbing higher regardless of the price of oil.

I just hope it stays on the lower side for the summer so I can spend a bit more of my time enjoying the 63 with a few more cruises.
