57 lovers may not like this

And for the record, I really like 57's.

I don't see this as a butcher job though, we don't know, he may have saved this from the shredder, who knows...

I really don't like any car turned into a lifted 4x4.

Probably on a Blazer frame and built from a gutted 4 door parts car. I think it's kinda cute. Have seen much worse 4x4 builds

Judging by the length of the door, looks like a four door hardtop was used.

No need to go with the ugly checkerplate steel rear bumper. True story, a friend's brother owned a '57 Pathfinder Deluxe 4-dr 261 3-spd. He drove it across to out west & back, during which time while in Wisconsin he was involved in a multi-car accident. His factory bumper had a small goose egg peen, while the car he hit wasn't even capable of rolling, it was dragged up a rollback. The barely-a-scratch Pathfinder made it home & passed through several friend's hands over the next 10 years and kept going. Way to go, Pontiac!

I should mention that Pathfinder Deluxe was found in an alley in downtown Toronto back around 1977. Plastic still on the seats. He ended up respraying it in Sapphire Blue & Ivory in the back alley back when you could get leaded lacquer and could accomplish it with decent results.

I hesitated when posting this because I knew you'd hate it.......but as I stated, we don't even know the details. He may have resurrected a car not worth salvaging, we don't know.

And as Poncho62 said, it IS kinda cute!

Carl, i think this car is a monstrosity but i know this all in good fun. By the way this is a Canadian body not an American body. Those very narrow dog legs give it away that it is a Canuk product. Cheers. smile
