One of the really classy and rare four door Grandes of that year. About 1200 made. Too bad about the wretched picture.

Ive never been to an estate auction. How many people usually go to these? Theres some other listed on the site that have good value depending on what bids go for...

 It's tough to predict.

Covid19 and all.

I don't go to many but you kick yourself when the local 1965 convertible, that was well cared for, goes for $6,500 and then the buyer relists it for $13,000 the next week.

(Sorry, bad memory)

I did go to one once and noticed the same man bidding for everything but for some reason, he was coming in second all the time.

He did win a dresser, I came is second biggrin

He came right over and asked if I wanted to buy it off him.

I told him he could give it to his father, the Auctioneer.

As with everything, buyer beware.

I have been to a couple of Sullivan auctions. Usually a good turnout of people and some stuff seems to go for a reasonable price. I would think that the people will be there for the farm equipment. This Pontiac listed as a parts car my go cheap. The picture that I posted is the only one on the site.

Haha. See thats why I dont like going or taking the chance..

is the auctioneer  allowed to go through stuff? For example, the coins and comics that are listed in the other lots? since theyre smaller, I'm worried of them picking out the good ones and leaving the rest...

Usually whats in the pics is there at the auction, the good stuff has already been picked out. Price wise I agree, most of the buyers are likely to be there for the farm eqpt and that Parisienne could go for a few hundred $$. Unless 2 Canadian Poncho buyers show up and run it up big.confuseconfuse

Pre-plan your maximum bids ahead of the bidding, and stick to them. Bid with your head.

FWIW I was at an auction a couple of years ago and there was a 1958 Edsel Arlington hearse there in the sale. It had sat outside for 20 plus years and really rusty. It sold for the first bid, $10. I drove by the auction site a few days ago and its still sitting there behind the house.

Upon looking at the site it appears that the auctions held in public venues such as community centres have been postponed. Probably because the venues themselves have been closed. The farm auctions still seem to be going ahead. Only time will tell.

I wish there were more pictures of the car. It would be nice to know the options it has as well as the condition. I have seen parts cars restored. I wont be going to the auction, its a two hour drive for me. If anyone does go please post some pictures.

Thanks Paul
