It seems to align with the price of Canadian Oil.

Doubt Carlisle ,Hershey or any others will proceed. My friend in WV is on the verge of cancelling his June car show that I have attended since 2006 & with Cdn. dollar in the toilet won't be going anyway!!!

Mike, theres a place in rexdale that repairs or seals gas tanks, advertised in Old Autos.

The Charlotte Auto Fair, which is a pretty big US swap meet, has been postponed from April 2-5 to June 12-14, but given the growth curve of the virus in the US I doubt it that it will proceed even then. I'm expecting best case is fall only meets.

In light of the measures brought in these last two days in Ontario, Saskatchewan and other provinces I'll be surprised if there are any car shows before late summer at the earliest.

When so many parts have to come from the US, the exchange rate will likely delay my project.

Cant even get across the border to pick the parts up now. No better time to travel across Canada using Canadian money paying .50 cents a litre. Of corse I would be in self insulation in the Winnibego biggrin

Road trip to Manitoba! Pick up JD and come for a ride....

So no border crossing for parts? I was wondering about that, I had some stuff arrive today and more coming after the weekend.

20200318_221837[1].jpg20200318_223127[1].jpgover the last 2 months i have been buying my parts here in BC , mainly because when i factored in the exchange, time (just to get parts only) etc etc,
the best decision was to buy my parts from Canadian vendors. All the parts arrived in perfect condition, and pick up was a breeze because it was all pre paid, BEFORE the Loonie tanked. Plus the fact i am too busy to go out of town to get them. Soon, i will have nothing but time to install everything.
New FlowTech mid length headers all total $258 CDN
New 3pce pedal kit (i know, missing the 4th) $45 CDN
New wiper switch 50 CDN
NEW LOWER CONTROL ARMS with bushings and ball joints $146 EACH (292)
New American Autowire Stock Radio Harness $55.00 CDN

All of these parts ordered from local stores. These guys are car nuts too.
Lets all try to support US (not U.S.) first. I too will buy from American suppliers if prices are out of control here. but not any time soon.

Most of the Retailers of muscle car parts have already paid for their stock at a lower price. If you are looking for items normally in stock, it will still be relatively affordable. Its typically NEW orders that are getting the drive shaft.

Oh and 1 last treat item i completely forgot about, arrived in the mail on Monday (thanks Todd, Super Cool!!!) amount paid - PRICELESS

Take care everybody, This too will pass.

Pound / US$ has dropped 10 cents since we voted to leave you know what in December. It's academic for us since the demise of surface post. Anything remotely heavy or large is far too expensive to ship. I need rear quarters (actually I only really need rear wheel arch repair panels if only such a thing existed) but they're far to big to ship. I would also have ordered an exhaust "Y" down-pipe but it's cheaper to have one made here in stainless........

I've gone to Carlisle before when it was 50 cents on the dollar. But maybe it won't happen this year anyway.

Doesn't mean much if the border is still closed.
