We live in strange times. VW had the Routan minivan that was built in Windsor on the Dodge Caravan line. Now they are talking about a Ford Ranger-based pickup. It's nothing new I guess, as VW made medium-duty trucks that were actually the German M.A.N. brand.

I've seen the Atlas SUV-based pickups when I have been in Europe, even seeing one with a short slide-in camper with overhangs front & rear.

With comprehensive crash testing and emissions testing taking so much in the way of resources (money and time), the prediction that we would see shared development of platforms between makes has proven to be accurate.

You don't want one! Stick with your North American trucks. All the lightweights are not worth it. If my business is still going after this virus runs its course I'll probably buy a Ram 1500 V8, the other stuff are really just junk.

I know a guy that just bought a Honda Ridgeline for his business. He is already regretting it. He says it is just a glorified grocery-getter. He had a Toyota Tundra.
