The set ups that the pros were using were full blown simulators. Jimmy Johnson chose to run a Indy car F1 style simulator which literally looks like a racing car, most of the others had NASCAR style, so guys even had roll cages around them, fully decked out three pedals gear shifts etc....
Back in the day I had all this stuff for my son and we'd race NASCAR and F1- EA Sports. I suppose its in the attic.

So I'm hooked on this now, I think the realism plus the time commitment being under 2 hours makes a huge difference, add in excitement and new names at the top. Indy car tried it too on Saturday live streamed and it just wasn't up to the Fox quality of announcers and telecast coverage.
Pinty's Champion Alex Labbe ran well holding down 7th place nearing the last 25 laps and being as high as 4th but as usual a melee with a lap to go took him out of contention for a green white checker finish. Jr. is strong and backed up last week's 2nd with a 6th. The top Sims drivers proved themselves this week at Texas and Timmy Hill with a set up basically no different than what I have here at my place won the race. This guy had his steering wheel clamped to his desk! He started Sims because he wanted to get into the real deal which has paid off for him.
