I still can't figure out why people are selling cars during this virus outbreak.

 Supply and demand, I think.

The economy in the west is not good and hasn't been for 3 years + already......now add the virus, more unemployment and low oil prices.

And things become even worse.

People need cash to feed their families and pay their bills.....what goes first?    The toys.

I'll predict there will be more "deals" in the next couple of months, as desperation to cover living expenses will become greater.

That's a $10K in Ontario or Quebec.

I think what you are referring to George is mostly for Alberta obviously because of the oil situation. BC is actually doing very well until this recent episode. I think last year BC actually lead the country with the most robust economy. Construction is still booming here in Kelowna. Residential has slowed down but multi family is very strong.

Some cars are still pulling decent prices but there are some deals and more will be coming.

Jerel,

Yes Alberta is hurting worst because of oil prices, but so is Saskatchewan and not all of B.C. is booming.

I could be wrong, but I believe that Northern B.C. is also hurting with all the mill closures.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/foretsry-contracters-losing-work-mill-closures-1.5221008

"PRINCE GEORGE-More people looking for work sent Prince George's unemployment numbers up once again to 6.4 per .

.. ... Another rise in jobless numbers in Prince George. Dec 06, 2019."

As I said, add to that what's going on now with the virus, and I'm sure we have people in northern B.C. who are getting into a financial crisis.

Plus this car is located in Prince George an area not exactly in a big populated  market of old car buyers, especially now.

Who will be buying a personal toy in these uncertain times?

-G

Yeah you are right with the northern part of the province. Besides the forestry they had a fairly good oil presence also. The Site C project has provided quite a few good jobs up there but might have been scaled back somewhat now. Last year I think much of it was determined by having low unemployment figures.
