Looks like it might be half decent.

Do you have a link to it?

I don't recall the last time I saw a 65 or a 66 with the front bumper installed as straight as this one! They're ALWAYS crooked and this one looks good.

I didn't think it would last long.

Hope it shows up on here.

Good price if half solid.

I love how the 62-68 Laurentian just had to have those trim spears. I think they were a trickle down continuation of the Starburst trim on the 61 Pontiac's.

Lets put them on the roof pillar on the 65 Laurentian and Star Chief. No, wait, lets instead put them on the front fender of the Canadian car... after the brochure came out showing them on the roof pillar!

Cameron probably knows what happened here in more detail..

It takes a few months to get the artwork submitted & approved, then they have to submit it to the printers with enough lead time to get them into the dealer's hands before launch date. I think DGN Marketing near Overlea Blvd. in Leaside used to do all the printing for GM Canada brochures & manuals up until the early 90's. I used to visit the place for Corvette promotional stuff. I got those $5 brochures that sell for $25 now for free back then.

The design for the Canadian cars was done in Michigan. GM had great stylists and competent divisional managers back in the day. If they moved the triple hash marks to the fender late in the approval process then they must have had a compelling reason. It must have been done for proportions on the shorter 119" wheelbase perhaps compared to the Star Chief's 124" w.b., although I think the actual Catalinas were the same length body-wise as the Canadian narrow-track cars. You know how it was, an emblem was placed somewhere and the boss walked in and said "I like it" or "Move that thing". The sense of proportion was lost when they did the '66 Beaumont Sport Deluxe because to me it always appears  that the Sport Deluxe emblem on the quarter panel is too high up. It may have been done to differentiate from the Chevelles. The 1967 Canadian 2+2 & the U.S 2+2 look very similar in execution to one another, though the Canadian cars had better rear styling.

That car is the spitting image of what my 'Chief looked like when I got it. Mine had three pedals though. Brings back memories.........
