In the early 70's I had two 55 Safari wagons.........both the same colour as this one.
One had no motor, but complete and I paid $35.00 for it.
and the other one was a driver that had a minor crunch in the rear quarter that I
paid $50.00 for. I had to buy it before the seller was about to cut the roof off and make a truck out of it.
Ended up selling both for $300. a year later because I had no place to store them, or work on them.
I still have the hood ornament (clear plastic Indian head) and the interior chrome roof bows.
Lots of ideas back then....wanted this car badly.......just didn't think it through of what I would do after I got it.

Nice! even though they are rare, they used to get pillaged for parts to restore Nomads. Quite rare today.
