This site.....

.....is full of amazing people.

Brace yourself for another one of my long stories.

Site member Bigdreams (Don) had a couple of parts books that I wanted. I paid him for them and as it happened, Beaumontguru was over there so he picked up my books. Last night I went to Beaumontguru's place for a visit (yes, out in the driveway, lawn chairs, likely 10' apart). I picked up my books. Don also had tossed in a couple of surprises for me, a couple of little trinkets for my car and a copy of Family Herald (anyone remember that farm magazine from way back when?)  I didn't have my glasses on and when I was at Dave's I looked at the magazine date on the cover and thought it said Feb 3 1960. I emailed Don today, thanked him for the stuff and asked if Dave had gotten it right that the extras were intended for me. He replied "The old farming magazine has some art work that might be to your taste".   Cool......

A few minutes ago I started leafing through the magazine. LOOK WHAT I FOUND ON PAGE 7!!! What a guy!!! Exactly the ad I've been seeing but didn't know where to find it.

Never seen that ad before. It's perfect for you. I'll bet the smile won't wash off your face.

Agreed, a truly great brotherhood.

My two greatest car loves, both in the same ad. I didn't know it existed until a month or two ago. I think it was maybe Mike667 who pointed out an ad like that for sale on Kijiji.

Glad you found it Carl! Yes, I had an ebay watch reminder if any 66 ad came up for sale to keep an eye out if this one came up for you.

You should get a poster of that ad for your garage. Vistaprint is a good source.

Just do a good scan and wait for Vistaprint to a have a 50% off sale. Upload to them and you can get some good sized posters. I did this at work of bee photos I took when I worked "in the field" to hang in our retail store.

Very cool and very generous of Bigdreams. Your two favorite 66 Pontiacs. I love this ad.
