He didn't always have a great/positive attitude ... he is maturing I guess. He IS a great musician.

Maybe the Petersen thing has helped him, maybe it was an act. 56 is a good age to grow and put your demons behind you.

Well, with a shop like that, and what I assume is his driveway in the drone shots, how could he not be chill?

Apparently he just got out of Rehab early 2020 so life was not all roses there.

That was just his latest stint. They might actually have a bed waiting for him there.

He was not what he seems in these videos, especially when drinking and drugging. He has had a a very demonized life.

Watch the movie "Some Kind Of Monster" and you'll get an insight into the 4-headed Hydra called Metallica.

You're completely on point, seen the movie, he's definitely battled some demons over the years so it's great to see this other more introspective side of him, not to mention all his cool cars!  That said Metallica is and always will be one of my favorite bands, I'm especially fond of the early years....Ride The Lightning and And Just For All are 2 of my faves.

Master Of Puppets for me. They hit a lull for a while, but came roaring back in later years. Death Magnetic etc.

I'll admit I didn't love Load, maybe I need to relisten after a few years and I'll appreciate it more???  I really liked the Black album too, except for Enter Sandman.....good song just got overplayed, one of the few that got a lot of mainstream radio/video (remember those :)) play.  Saw them on tour in Vancouver for that album...top 1 or 2 concerts I've been to.
