A friend had a 64 custom sport hardtop the same colour with a 327 and four speed. I never knew the name of the colour until now, thanks. Unfortunately the car died from Ontario rust back in the 70s.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
You cannot always rely on a dupont colour chart to show all the colours available from GM . In that era of car there could have been a special order paint code. You need the paint code from the car and find someone that has a dealership manual that gives all colours available and all combining interiors. A sharp salesman could sneak in a lot of different options.
I agree with Al. Car manufacturers in the past would paint the car any colour available to them to make the sale. I have seen a Chevelle with a Cadillac colour verified by the build sheet. I had never seen another 64 Pontiac with that colour until now.
I thought I had seen a 2 door 64 that colour. What does su fire red metallic look like?

Darryl's above post shows Sunfire Red Metallic. This was the original color of my '64 CS.
I was wondering what it looks like on a whole car, hard to tell from those little samples, plus on a computer?
