Curious about the gold '69 Pontiac coupe beside the orange Firebird convertible. Due to the lack of bodyside moldings it is either a Strato Chief or a 2+2. If it has the same wheel covers as the Firebird it is a tip-off to being a 2+2. I can't tell, does it have wheel opening moldings & stripes full length from the bumper back?
Maybe it is a 6-cyl Strato Chief.
Back in the mid-70's we were camping in Oscar Sherer State Park in Florida. Sandy campsites among the palms & forest. In the campsite beside us was a '69 Laurentian 4-door with a Brantford dealer emblem. Silver with dark blue cloth bench. He popped the hood to check vitals and I saw it had a 250 six cylinder, p/s p/b. It had a TH350 with the D L2 L1 selector or however Pontiac labeled it on those things. The ex-Hillar '70 Laurentian 454 was another approach to driving south for the winter break, also likely the same Brantford dealer. LS4, TH400, cruise control, 2.56:1 axle, am/fm radio, manual steering & brakes. 2 different approaches to the long drive.
I know the General Sales Manager from that time period, he still lives in the area and is a member of our Church...I'm going to ask him if he recalls any special cars, he sure has a lot of stories.
I was going to say the same. Good to hear things are still progressing. You probably know what the next question will be. Have some pictures of the updates?
