Just for the check of it I decided to drive to the restaurant parking lot where the weekly Sunday night car shows have been held pre Covid

The restaurant was closed but out in the middle of the empty parking lot were a couple of groups of cars

Looks like my old 65 Biscayne 2 dr post is back out . That is one I regret selling a few years ago . I hope to replace it with a 68 version soon

That black Parisienne looks mean with all that rear tire underneath it.

And I can see why you miss the 65 Biscayne Howard,

Don, i must have missed you just by minutes.  Ive seen that black 64 Parisienne 40 years ago. Ive drooled over it for years. I heard it runs 10.50s with nos.33135F4C-386C-44BE-9B1D-0257443598AD.jpeg

We are very fortunate here in Manitoba. I know we are often looked down at (even though we are the centre of Canada!) but it's pretty nice to be living in the sticks right now.

Yes everyone there was social distancing appropriately

With the relaxing of restrictions on restaurants it will be interesting to see when there will be an official car show at this venue in the near future - the maximum of 50 for pubic gatherings still stands  based on what i understand

 

The owner of this restaurant chain was fined for a violation of exceeding the numbers on the patio at his pembina hwy location - he's probably on the radar of the people who do the enforcement now

Looking at events in Old Auto's "EVERYTHING" is "CANCELLED"as far forward as Sept.!!! Local paper is listing all fall fairs as CANCELLED from Aug. to Oct. So it's going to be a very "DEAD" summer in the old car hobby, even going for a drive could be a NO NO as I heard about 12 cars going on a Sunday drive & got fined for "unnecessary Travel"

yes this nuts the guys here started a group CARS FOR COVED and they go drive around long term care homes and hospitals to show support i get that ont is a hotspot Pete we have had no cases here on vanisle for 3 weeks and ill take the sticks anytime....looks like a ragtop meet!
