My little vert was not real good off he mark. Not really getting into the power band of the cam. Heavy car to get going.....worked out my diff ratio is 3.08. It is a posi which is pretty handy. More a highway kind of thing...have a set of closed chamber heads with larger valves to go on And some roller rockers.
Ok, want to change my diff ratio. Put it out on old facebook chasing a set of gears to suit a 12 bolt. Ended up scoring, brand new, still in boxes, yukon 3.77 gear set, posi and overhaul kit. $1000. Pretty happy! So now going to take the diff out of the back yard parts junker and put them in. That way can keep my 3.08 and have my 3.77 too. Nice to have options!

I can't recall, do you have an overdrive in your car Phillip? If so, that will be great. If not, you'll love the acceleration but get tired of the rpm if you are out on the open road!

No I dont mate. You are correct, it will be revving its ring out on the highway but I dont do a lot of that. Running a T400 and next phase will be fitting a 4 speed auto. Well, thats my plan anyway....
