Perhaps the coolest longroof...

If I won the lottery, this is a example of the type of thing I would go after.

Love the 4 dr HT (pillarless) wagon look. Thats unusual isnt it? I cant recall noticing that on a wagon before.

Occasionally a 50's pillarless wagon will pop up, but yes they're rare.

Posted this a few weeks ago but thought of it again when you mentioned not too many 4 door hardtop wagons. This was from the garage tour in Toronto last summer.

I wonder if there's truth to it being built by GM as a courtesy car for the 1969 Indy 500?  It looks well done and in proportion, so in my mind it's plausible.

Note to self to look up old 1969 Indy 500 pics for one in the background...

Hmmm...

http://classicvehicleslist.com/cadillac/10877-1969-cadillac-fleetwood-hardtop-station-wagon-472-ci-375-hpthm400-very-rare.html

"In 1969 several Cadillac Fleetwood Wagons served as Indianapolis 500 Courtesy Cars to shuttle the V. I. P's of the Speedway. Racing Team Big Shots. Drivers. Team Members etc. to and from the Track. Hotels and Airports. It's been stated that up to 6 vehicles were in service and although the odds are good that this may one of those vehicles we have not as of yet been able to certify or document that. The reason for bringing this up is that there is a "Commemorative Plaque of Appreciation" mounted on the dash. With an Official Seal of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. saying "in Appreciation of Courtesy Service 1969". We have been trying and still are in touch with the Indy 500 museum and searching the internet to get this documented or at least a picture of it in service. Mr. Dennis passed away so as of this writing all we have is the plaque on the dash."
