For some reason I can imagine a dog riding out back rumble-seat style with goggles on, like on the cover of the Farley Mowat book, "The Dog Who Wouldn't Be". In rural Saskatchewan? Sure!

I don't judge a man by how far he's fallen, but by how far back he bounces - Patton
Very cool part of history! I wonder if any Saskatchewan museum of history would be interested in it? I don't imagine many actual Thatcher wagons exist these days - I did an internet search a while back when you posted about getting it running, and could not find much information about them.
I do not understand the Colin Thatcher connection here. The only Colin Thatcher that i know of in our Canadian world, is the rotting scum bag that killed his wife. Is this the same one and if it is, what does this have to do with this odd 57 Pontiac. Any kind of clarification would be so greatly appreciated.

Colin Thatchers father Ross, was premier of Saskatchewan. It was his partys economic policies that resulted in cars being converted into farm vehicles to take advantage of tax breaks on farm fuel.
