'69 Full Size Rear Antenna

Well, after seeing Randy's beautifully finished '69 Parisienne and sporting that original rear mounted antenna, I am starting a search to replace the aftermarket one currently mounted on my 2+2. I know it is a long shot, but anybody have one buried in their garage or know where I might find one...besides the one on Randy's car?biggrin Looking for the manual one, not power. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Crap, there was an Impala on eBay not too long ago.

I saw that and wished I had grabbed it.

This is from our member  "North"

He sent me this when I asked about the hole location.

Maybe someone can confirm that the Impala is the same.

Stuff comes up all the time !

PS thanks for the kind words aww

This is the same as mine on my 69 Parisienne.

I'm having great difficulty however in finding an original power rear antenna for my 68 Impala project.

Not having much luck, but finding various pieces, so maybe I can put one together... The American Pontiacs used an oval antenna. Hard to tell from the above picture, but is that antenna round or oval? I see Chevy seemed to use both shapes.

I believe it's oval; mine is on my 69 Parisienne.

Here's an update on what I have found and what I need for the manual rear antenna for my '69 2+2. The antenna mast, bezel, nut, ground ring, and gaskets are available as reproductions. What I need is the cable/body assembly part #3965197. The former part number was #3948937. Maybe someone knows if the same assembly was used for a different model. I just can't believe how many different variations on the rear antenna for Chevrolet there was! You would think the basic parts would be the same with the only difference being made to the bezel to accommodate various body styles. Maybe there's a cable/body assembly that would work from a different year or model, but was a different part number? Nothing I have found to this point. Can't believe this part is that hard to find. Appreciate it if anyone has any info on a used one. Thanks!

Well after a lot of searching for a rear antenna, this is what I put together. Currently, the part number correct mast, threaded cap, gasket, bezel, bezel gasket, and ground ring, are available in reproduction. The antenna body/cable is not, so I went with a reproduction '69 Camaro body/cable. I've got $140 USD into it, but it's all new parts. Sometimes it's the details that give you the most satisfaction! Thanks to those who reached out to help!
