i was there when I was 11 but dont remember mush of it. I remember we went to a buffet that you could put as much food on your plate for one cost. My father was embarrassed at the mountain we built. The owner came over to the table and just when my father thought he was going to complain he said he did care how much we took cause every plate had nothing left on it. I also remember the locals did not like the English

I was 5½ years old but I remember going as a family in our '66 Biscayne with a new 1967 Simpson-Sears soft-top camper and camping in cousin Herb & Madeline's driveway in Montreal. Herb had a '66 Belvedere with an orange golf ball on the end of his antenna.

I remember some of the pavilions, the Beatles display, the Hovercraft, chatting & entertaining a few traditional Japanese ladies that seemed like they didn't speak a lick of English (they just laughed), riding on a kiddy train ride & tooting the horn. I remember stopping to drink Grand Prix cola, but you needed a church key to open it. I wish dad snapped photos of the '67 Mustang 2+2 GT or the rumored '67 Beaumont Sport Deluxe 427 on display.

In this millennium before my mom passed I told her of the unaccompanied walkabout I took in Montreal at 5½. I was bored and I wanted to explore so I went for a long walk in a strange city and made it back undetected. It still nearly gave her a heart attack all these decades later.

I found a really neat 1967 Canadian Chevrolet truck mailer that was shot on site during construction of Expo 67. Here's a sample:

I was born/lived in Montreal and my Aunt baby sat me and had a season's pass, so I ended up going to EXPO a lot (I was 7 years old). Also went a lot the following year.

I remember getting trapped in the U.S. pavilion biosphere (went down the wrong escalator and got separated from my parents), that was a scary experience at age 7!

I wish I still had my pavilion-stamped passport book(s).cry

I was almost 10 years old when my family went to Expo. A few months earlier my Dad was in Montreal on business and called saying that he would be two days late coming home. My Mother was furious thinking that Dad had gone to Expo. Two days later he came back with a new car for my Mother as a surprise. We had a good time at Expo. One thing I remember is a display of cars on a track sort of like an assembly line. They moved through the building, sometimes overhead and I could see that there were just straight axles either end, no steering or suspension. I heard years later that the bodies were from the same plant that built the Manic car in Quebec.

I was 16 and arrived at EXPO 67 by train from Toronto. Stayed at old army barracks near the site. Enjoyed "many" quarts of Beer, Laurentide Ale, 50.Red Cap!

I was 18 when I went with 3 of my buddies. They drove from Vancouver in a Packard hearse, and I joined them in Manitoba and we carried on to Montreal. Best road trip ever. We visited a few stores in Montreal and were told in one people come here to spend there money not there time, so if your here to spend your time, get out.064AC895-4F04-462D-8C55-2B879BA5ADAE.jpeg

I was nine years old and our whole family of six at the time, it became nine later piled into my dads new 1967 Buick Special sedan. I remember the drive there and back and those large round domes. I remember all the massive crowds everywhere, especially in the large round domes. That is about all i remember and i doubt i enjoyed any of the experience.

Wow - 1967, I'm 21 with my girl friend just out of high school. Winter beater 1960 Pontiac Strato-Chief 6 automatic.

Another couple with us and off we went late Friday night from Toronto. Back then Hwy 401 was not completed all

the way through and we had to take Hwy 2 from Cornwall to somewhere near the QC border. Couldn't find an empty

motel but got directed to a 'pension' and the four of us slept in one room (two beds), with a lot of mattress squeaking,

"nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean, say no more"...(apologies Monty Python)......no

Great memories and Expo was pretty good too........

None of you visited the Atlantic Canada pavilion where they built the schooner, Atlantica as their display? Its a beautiful wooden boat and still sailing here, Ive been on it. The grandfather of a good friend was the designer and builder.

I was too young to really get it and enjoy any of it but i sure did like my dads new car, getting there and back. My dad kept the 67 Buick Special until about 1984.
