In home cable outlets......

Hello, it seems I have a faulty cable outlet in my house as one of my digital boxes won't reset. It always finishes with the code 'NoUI'. We had the same problem in another outlet and the cable provider came in and changed something in the wall socket pertaining to the cable signal. It took about 10-15 minutes then everything works fine. Now I have the same issue upstairs at a different outlet. It's not the box-believe me. My question is is there anyone here who can lead me to the appropriate replacement piece that will rectify this situation? It must be a small piece and easy to swap out as it's not rocket science this stuff. I've been fighting with the provider now since February.

Thank you........

There's not much to change in the wall socket, as the coax comes in, then has a male end on it. That male end screws into a female end of one side of the wall socket. The coax to your box screws into the other female end of the wall socket.

Have you taken the wall socket apart and had a look?

The terminal is called an f-81. they will oxidize if you have a poor ground connection. (Green solid conductor were your cable comes into your residence. Other end usually gets connected to the house ground with a split bolt.)F4553135-576B-45F7-B2DD-EB0B3B285DFF.png6BEDA5EC-D913-43F1-8245-D8AAE9C5F75B.jpeg

Any update? Have you had a chance to take a look at your questionable outlet?
