got todd's ok to post a couple engines on here. i have for sale a 1967 pontiac 400 xj 350 hp #670 heads. motor is complete and runs but will need to be rebuilt as a couple of cylinders have low compression $1000 also have a 1968 pontiac 428 yh 4 bolt mains 375 hp #16 heads, it is all disassembled and almost complete. needs to be bored as couple of cylinders have marks $1500
Yes, I am looking for a Pontiac engine still. Spoke with Dan awhile back and I think the issue here was the distance between us.. almost 18 hour drive..
was interested in that 428 when we were talking way back.

You should have no problem selling both engines especially the 428 which is the most sought after. When I had a 1969 428 complete running 60,000 mile engine and turbo 400 I just searched on the internet for pontiac engines wanted. The first add I came across I responded and the person had been looking for a 428 for a few years. Within a couple of days he drove 400 miles to come and pick it up and never tried to lower my asking price Since he never tried to dicker the price I gave him a driveshaft with a 400 yoke, both front and rear sway bars and a bunch of other parts from a 1969 grand prix
His plans for the powertrain was to clone a 1969 GTO into a Royal Pontiac built car. Royal was transplanting 428-390 hp engines into GTO 's and tweaking the cars for drag racing. Good luck with the sale.

18 hours one way or round trip?

if you are looking for someone to ship it put a ad on uship, lots of times guys are going through this area either delivering or picking up a vehicle and have room in the back of there truck box to put a motor. i have had really good luck with uship, bought my gto in ottawa and found a guy on u ship coming this way to pick up a car with empty trailer only charged me $600 would have cost me more in gas to drive and pick it up myself. also if someone is interested in the motor there is a guy from toronto area who is going to alberta to pick up a car and deliver back to Toronto. he is dropping off a rear seat for me that i bought from toronto area. i am sure he would have room in the back of his truck box for a motor. not sure what he would charge but wouldn't hurt to ask him
the 67 400 i bought from a guy in alberta, found a guy on uship coming back this way and he only charged me $200 to pick it up and drop off at my house
If you get the 428 I have an NOS set of of .040 over silvolite 421 pistons with rings and 2 forged connecting rods. Other 6 rods in my engine were cast. Those you can have for free if you need them.
I realize that there's a good share of you who seem to know one another, but I'd still think that no matter what you're trying to sell, you would want to be clear in the listing to say where you are.... at least for people like me who know very few of the 'regulars' here...
