Ran across this while doing my usual FB marketplace browsing. Cool car and looks all original, so he says, very low miles and interesting 3 on the tree! Wants a trade but for $5-6K looks like a neat car.
I always like that car. It has 2 unusual aspects going for it, the 3-speed manual 327, & the 2-tone paint with the secondary colour applied to the wheels, sometimes referred to as an A-B-C colour scheme.
Back in the 1970s there was a '70 Chevelle 300 Deluxe in town, Oshawa-built with a similar 2-tone scheme. I even created a picture of it a while back:
The last time I saw that Chevelle was 1983 in Hamilton. It was clean but had developed cancer deep in the quarters.
Back in the late 90's in Pickering I saw a tired old 1968 Parisienne 2+2 coupe driven by an elderly couple. It was Burnished Saddle (dk brown) with a Grecian Green (lt green) 2-tone and had gold buckets & console. Wow, what a fail in the colour combo. The right colours make all the difference; there was the same model 2+2 in Ancaster, Burnished Saddle with black interior & vinyl roof that looked really sharp.
