Neighbour hit a deer with his Tesla on autopilot. Didn't brake or stop after collision, just kept on like it never happened. It's all recorded on the on board video camera. Note to self....don't step out in front of a Tesla.

I find this autopilot business on the road somewhat scary. To me it doesn't make sense to give up all control; even if you do not want to make the physical effort to drive the car because it can drive itself (another weird notion for those of us who are used to controlling the car), wouldn't you want to at least know what's going on around you?

Reminds me of the scene in I robot with Will Smith when he takes control of his car.
