I bought a middle three drawer chest from Amazon a few years ago but that one doesnt appear to be available anymore.

I don't think I would pay $664.17 Canadian for an item that sells for $89.99 U.S. in the States.

Me neither, thats why I bought the generic brand I had never heard of. My tool storage consists of a Mastercraft roll-away, an International middle chest and a huge Proto tool chest on top

Thanks guys, the cost of shipping and exchange is ridiculous and Amazon is saying both units are Not Available.

I set up an account with Meanard's in the US and with exchange and shipping a 2 drawer will be about $350.

I thought I would ask around before pulling the trigger on the two drawer stateside.

There is a feature on the CTC website where you can get notification when an item goes on sale.

Look for the heart shaped feature called

"Wish List"

just click on it and when it goes on sale "Pull the trigger"

Useful for any CTC item.

Leave it black and you wont void the warranty.

Make the black drawers as your organizer efforts

Could even label the trays for special tools.

I just was able to order a Craftsman from Menard's in Clive Iowa for $109 + tax and $13 shipping for a total of $132 US. I've got someone there to accept shipment from the store then move it along to me. Apparently the 2 and 3 drawers are discontinued so I am hopeful my order will be fulfilled. We will see how this transaction goes.

Tying up the loose ends, the photos will tell the story. I arrived home from the office to find a big box in my foyer.

At the end of the day it cost me $379.88 all in to get this box from Iowa to my door. When I first saw the box here in Canada it was going for $345.99 plus HST = $390.97. In the meantime the box was discontinued here and stateside so it became very difficult to procure. I was lucky to find it at Maenads and they only had three in stock when I bought it. So it basically cost me what it was selling for a year ago in Canada and took just ten days to get it here. I'm happy.
