My Kijiji Alert sent me today to a 1987 Mercury Cougar.

I am a big fan of the design and the original owner of a 1988.

But this is Just wrong

It looked like someone in the aftermarket world was making GM style rally rims for a Ford !

A quick search shows that the 1960 - 1964 Corvair had the same bolt pattern !

But who, in the right mind, would even think of mixing the two ?

Please don't tell the Fox body Mustang people this !

Let's just just keep our brands apart biggrin

Guy over on the 409 site had a 55 tbird with a 409 and went to tbird shows with it. Dual quad and he did the conversion in the late 60s. Rebuilt the 409 about 2017. I feel the same way when a sbc is in a nice mint old Ford hotrod. But, the 55 worked way better, solid lifter motor and all.

Going to 55 shows, you could get shot with a gm motor in one?

Seems to me that Magnum 500 wheels were used by all manufactures back in the day and they looked good.

That Rallye wheel looks decent on the Mercury too.
